Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Amir Sajet, the esteemed Dean of the College of Arts at Baghdad University, a scientific visit to the Weather Department in Baghdad was organized on Tuesday, 14th November. Facilitated by several professors from the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems, this educational excursion aimed to provide students with a firsthand understanding of the practical aspects of the Climate and Seismic Monitoring Department.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The scientific visit commenced with the eager participation of geography students from Baghdad University, guided by the collective efforts of their professors. Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Amir Sajet’s sponsorship underscored the importance of bridging theoretical knowledge with practical experience, aligning with the College of Arts’ commitment to holistic academic development. The Department of Geography and Geographic Information Systems played a crucial role in coordinating the visit, ensuring that students had the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge about the Climate and Seismic Monitoring Department. The supervising staff of the department not only elucidated the nature of their work but also provided detailed insights into the operation of laboratory equipment. Emphasizing the importance of international cooperation, the Deputy Director General shed light on the collaborative efforts between nations to share information and experiences related to climate change and global earthquake monitoring.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
