As part of his visit to Japan, Professor Baha Ibrahim Ensaf, Ph.D., President of the University of Baghdad, delivered a lecture titled “Iraq and Japan: Academic Opportunities.”

The lecture was attended by members of the Iraqi delegation, including Professor Ali Abdulameer Sajit, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Baghdad, and Prof. Mahmoud Al-Qaisi, Ph.D., a faculty member from the College of Arts.

The lecture aimed to highlight the depth of academic relations between Iraq and Japan, emphasizing the opportunities available in Iraq amidst the country’s security stability and economic recovery. It explored the history of academic collaboration between the two nations and engaged with students to understand their perceptions of Iraq and Arab civilization, as well as their interest in studying various aspects of Iraqi history and society.

The lecture featured discussions and a variety of questions, which were addressed by the lecturers. They encouraged students to take advantage of the available programs, particularly the Study in Iraq initiative supported by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
