In line with the Ministry of Higher Education’s directive to promote cultural and archaeological awareness, the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University recently held two workshops at Tigris Hall, led by professors from the University of Baghdad’s College of Arts
The first lecture, entitled “Architectural and Decorative Elements in Mesopotamia,” was presented by Professor Dr. Qusay Sobhi Abbas from the Department of Archaeology, College of Arts, University of Baghdad. The second lecture, entitled “Cuneiform Writing and Its Archaeological and Historical Significance,” was delivered by Professor Dr. Ahmed Naji Saba’a, also from the University of Baghdad’s Department of Archaeology. Attendees included Professor Dr. Juma’a Salman Jayad, Dean of the College of Engineering, along with several faculty members from Al-Nahrain University. The workshops featured in-depth discussions on the significance of archaeological studies, the enhancement of their curricula, and the practical application of archaeological research findings
