Dr. Alyaa Abdul Hussein Nasser, a faculty member from the College of Arts, attended a UNESCO meeting in the United States from 2–4 June
At the event, Dr. Nasser highlighted the key activities of the UNESCO Chair for Genocide Prevention Studies at the University of Baghdad’s College of Arts, focusing on its collaborative efforts with UNESCO and other Iraqi academic institutions. The meeting also explored the future direction of UNESCO’s work in enhancing both the academic framework and practical initiatives for preventing genocide, particularly in the Islamic world and the Middle East
Dr. Nasser’s involvement in this meeting emphasises the College of Arts’ significant contribution to the development of genocide prevention studies and its role in promoting international scholarly collaboration, especially in the Middle East and the wider Islamic world
