The College of Arts – University of Baghdad welcomed its newly admitted students as part of its annual program designed to support students and familiarize them with their academic environment, thereby enhancing their readiness to engage in their studies from the very first day of the academic year.
At the forefront of the welcoming committee was Prof. Ali Abdulameer Sajit, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Arts – University of Baghdad, who delivered a welcoming address expressing his delight at the students’ joining the college. He emphasized the College’s commitment to providing a comprehensive academic environment that offers all necessary forms of support, enabling students to integrate smoothly and achieve academic excellence.
During the meeting, the Dean outlined the main objectives of this event, which include introducing students to academic pathways and available university services, and enabling them to understand academic regulations and procedures early on, thereby facilitating effective communication with the teaching staff and strengthening their active participation in university life.
The event also included an introduction to the various academic departments and student services, in an effort to ease students’ integration into the college community and foster a sense of belonging and responsibility.
