Empowering Education: The Teacher-Student Festival at the English Department, University of Baghdad

The English Department at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, organized the (Teacher and Student) festival in collaboration with the Student Activities Division. This celebration took place on Tuesday, the twenty-eighth of last March. This celebration honored the professors who held the title of professor and the recognized top students in the fourth stage of the morning study. The festival started with an opening speech by Dr. Haitham Kamel, representing the head of the department, followed by reading poems in both Arabic and English languages to commend the role of the professor in instilling values and principles that the department has long been committed to. Awards plaques were presented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Mondher Ali to the honored professors Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Jumaili, Professor Dr. Amy Albert Squaira, Professor Dr. Mondher Abdul Razzaq Saba, Professor Dr. Sondos Mohsen Al-Obaidi, Professor Dr. Baydaa Faisal Nouri, Professor Dr. Sarab Khalil Hameed, Professor Dr. Hanan Yunis Mohammed, Professor Dr. Israa Hashim Tahir, and Professor Dr. Nasir Abbas Al-Zubaidi. Meanwhile, Assistant Professor Dr. Sanaa Lazim, the head of the English Language Department, presented excellence plaques to the top students: Ali Qasim Mohammed Ali, Azraa Naser Hussein, and Nermeen Hussein.
